Music Sampler

The Sweetwater Cafe is dedicated to bringing neighbors together to share an evening of food, friendship and great live music. Come join us on the southern end of beautiful Lake Lanier in Cumming, GA for the experience of hearing talented musicians in an intimate "house concert" setting. We feature local singer/songwriters as well as traveling acts from around the world.

How it Works?

A House Concert is just that - a concert in a private home. We occasionally invite artists to play for us in our house and invite the local community to join us as a way to have fun and meet new people. Each guest is asked to chip in $20-25 per person - all of which goes directly to the artist - and to bring their favorite beverage and a dish to share in a pot luck dinner that takes place before the show.

Will Saw the Moon
Suggested donation: $20-25/person

Will Solomon is a contemporary folk artist from Kentucky but based out of Nashville. His recently formed trio called "Will Saw the Moon" includes Jenika Smith on upright up bass and Simon Chrisman on the hammer dulcimer. The band plays modern folk and americana music with melodies inspired by songs you might have heard on eighties pop radio. Adding a hammered dulcimer results in a really unique sound.

Check out samples of their music.

Opening the show will be local artist Brandon Crocker from Marietta. Here is a sample of his music.

Nicholas Edward Williams Quintet
Suggested donation: $20-25/person

Nicholas is the master of old timey, fingerpicking style guitar who played for us back in March of 2022. Well now he's pulled together a quintet of talented folks that will be coming down from Tennessee to play for us.

Check out samples of their music.

The Currys
Suggested donation: $20-25/person

The Currys are back for another show! They are one of our favorites and are joining us for their 4th appearance here at our house concert series. Brothers Tommy and Jimmy and their cousin Galen deliver amazing harmony driven folk-rock. The released their fourth studio album called "Keepers" back in October, so we're looking forward to hearing some of their new songs.

Here are some highlights from a past appearance.
